Drummond Money-Coutts pays a visit to Fin’s HQ

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

The wonderful Drummond Money-Coutts, magician extraordinaire, paid an unexpected visit to Fin’s HQ this afternoon.

If you haven’t already heard of Drummond then we highly recommend paying a visit to his website. If however, like us, you have been lucky enough to experience any of his magic then you will understand how completely incredible his tricks are.

So naturally, we were beyond delighted when Drummond offered to perform a few magic tricks especially for us. What followed was a truly magical experience – we can all honestly testify that we have absolutely NO IDEA how he did it. Truly magical!

Magical!

After inducing goosebumps from Fin and nausea from Sally we finally called an end to the trickery and kitted Drummond out with a smart new pair of Bobby Slip Ons in Black.

A BRITISH HERITAGE COLLABORATION

Friday, March 4th, 2011

T & F Slack Shoemakers is the brainchild of the wonderful husband and wife team, Tim and Fiona Slack. They are dedicated to making modern classics and their iconic styles and eye-popping colours suit the Fin’s ethos perfectly.

Fin and Tim met at a shoe fair in Milan and the relationship quickly blossomed from there. Combining Tim’s skill and workmanship with Fin’s creative flare they produced the fantastic Carter. Designing a new last exclusively for Fin’s, the shoes are all handmade with the softest leathers in the Nottinghill workshop.

The T&F Slack for Fin’s collaboration has been made by a talented young team, mostly graduates from the highly respected Cordwainers College.

All T&F Slacks For Fin's are handmade here in Nottinghill, in their 500 square ft workshop.

'The Carter' comes in Blue, Grey & Mouse.

Remember – these are a limited collection & there are only 15 pairs available in each colour so be sure to claim your stake in this exciting and modern British collaboration.

Best Dressed Men – Awards Season 2011

Friday, February 4th, 2011

There are many countless articles, online columns etc. stating which fabulous females wore it best at each of Hollywood film awards. Fins however, brings you a similar list but with a different gender in mind.

First up, Ryan Gosling at the Golden Globes last month.

Oversized bow-tie does the trick.

We think these would go perfectly with a pair of the Drummond Evening Slipper in black camuscio suede.

Sometimes you need to take a risk. And when you need to look like a movie star — sometimes you’ve just got to wear an oversize bow tie and a razor-sharp, black-velvet tux. He looks like a million bucks in Salvatore Ferragamo’s one-button, shawl-collar tux, and Golden Globe or not, Ryan Gosling walks away from awards season a winner.

Next up, Johnny Depp also at the Golden Globes;

Because he can...

We think these would go perfectly with a pair of the Plum Jacob Desert Boots.

In the race for the Coolest Guy Alive award Johnny Depp has got to be one of the leading contenders. Robert Pattinson take note!

A wing collar – Yes.

Without a tie – Semi Cool.

Ralph Lauren Black Label – Freezable!

Now on to the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a personal favorite of mine, Josh Duhamel.

Josh sporting an uber chic Calvin Klien tux.

We think these would go perfectly with a pair of the Black Bull & Bear Oxford Fins.
Fergie’s other half Josh wore the timeless black wool two-button peak lapel tuxedo, by Calvin Klien. He teams it with a white shirt, black tie, and black leather shoes, and looks simply divine!

Let us know your thoughts on what Hollywood men are uping their style game this season.

Oxford Chic

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

We tend to associate our new Bull and Bear Oxfords with men in suits hustling on the trading floor. But when we received this picture from Sarah at our PR team of her handsome husband, Scott, looking a little more rugged and casual but equally chic we couldn’t help but post it onto the blog. Worn with jeans and blazer by Jil Sander for Uniqlo, we think this is the way forward for the Oxfords. Take note boys.
